February 6, 2012
Question by justhis: Is Chrome OS a good idea to download? I just found out about Google’s “Chrome OS,” and I want it badly, but at the same time, I’m reluctant to download it. I’ve only ever used windows, so I’m pretty sheltered when it comes to internet products that aren’t Microsoft (Microsoft can do [...]

- How do I contact Technology2Reality?
- We provide our customers a number of convenient methods to reach us including email at info@technology2reality.com , contact us form , or by phone or fax at (888) 784-6614.
- How quickly will you get back to me?
- Response time is typically by the next business day, if not sooner.
- Do you use templates for your designs?
Many web designers utilize templates for their designs – there are several popular web sites that sell design templates, where all you have to do is throw in your logo and text and call it a day. That doesn’t do anything to help your business stand out from the crowd. You can rest assured that you won’t see any other web sites out there that look the same as the one we create for you.
Once we’ve designed something for a client, it is their design. When we start working with you, we start with an entirely fresh slate, creating a whole new design concept for your company.
However, it is important to note that template designs are not to be confused with template files or themes that are utilized by database driven web sites – including shopping carts such as CRE Loaded or Volusion, or blog and CMS (Content Management System) interfaces such as WordPress. With sites like these, we still create a 100% unique and custom web design just for you.
- Will my site work in different web browsers?
Yes. Although we develop web sites that favor Mozilla Firefox and Internet Explorer for their strong support of web standards, we absolutely check compatibility with Chrome, Safari, Flock and Opera browsers as well for optimum cross-browser compatibility.
- What if I’m a designer or developer?
If you are designer you may already have a site designed and just need the html coded. If you are a developer you may not need help with the coding but need someone to come up with a great design. Although we specialize in both the custom design and development of complete sites, we realize sometimes you only need one or the other.
If you are a developer and need help with a design, we would be happy to design the site for you, and provide you with the final layered Photoshop file that you can code yourself.
Alternatively, there are many designers who prefer to focus strictly on design. If this is the case, you can leave the coding to us! Send us your layered Photoshop mock-up and we will code the html for you.
- What can I expect when we work together?
Please refer to our Web site Design and Development Document. We have defined the primary steps in the web site design and development process. From gathering initial information, to the creation of your web site, and finally to maintenance to keep your web site up to date.
- Information Gathering
- Planning
- Design
- Development
- Testing and Delivery
- Maintenance
- Where can I view my web site in progress?
Once design work has begun, and a framework has been developed, customers will be able to watch the development in action from the Beta site. The Beta site is loaded into he customer’s existing hosting solution so they can view preliminary designs for the web site, offer feedback for revisions, give approval to begin development, etc.
When the site is complete and we have final approval from the customer, we move the web site from our client area to the live web server – making the site viewable to the public.
- How long will it take to finish my web site?
There’s no exact answer to this, as the time will vary based on the complexity of the project, how quickly the customer responds to requests for feedback and approval of certain stages, as well as how large the web site is.
Generally, most standard web sites are completed within 4-8 weeks. Again, this depends on how large of a web site it is, as well as consistent and timely communication as well as and feedback between the customer and Technology2Reality.
- Ok, I am ready to get started! Now what?
If you know exactly what you need, you can head straight over to our Services section to view our specific Web Site Design and Development Solutions. You can select from any of our pre-made packages, or you can pick your options a-la-carte.
If you’re still not quite sure what would be best for you, please contact us – we would be happy to walk you through the process of determining your web site needs!
First, we’ll ask you several questions to help determine your web site goals and needs, as part of the Information Gathering Phase. We will take this information to create a proposal for you, which will include several options for you to choose from. Included will be one or more site maps listing the specific pages we suggest for your web site. This is all part of the Planning Phase.
You can select any of our proposed web sites, or make your own combination of options.
Whether buying straight from our online store, or through a custom made proposal and invoice, we will send you our standard contract for services that you can sign and either fax or mail to us. This helps protect both of us to be sure everyone’s best interests are taken care of.
We do require a 50% deposit for all design and development services. Final payment is due before transfer of files to your server. Other services, such as web hosting, domain registration, or maintenance plans are due in full at time of purchase.
Once your contract and initial payment are received, we also sign and send back a copy of the contract to you, for your records.
Then we begin work on the initial design concepts for your web site. As soon as it is ready, we will give you access to your Beta site, where you will be able to view the progress of your web site as it is created.
- What payment methods do you accept?
We accept cash, check and payments made with Visa, Master Card, American Express and Discover card.
